Bhartruhari Mahtab Resigned BJD: Amidst the preparations happening in full swing for the Lok Sabha elections, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal (BJD) suffered a serious setback on Friday (March 22, 2024). Bhartrihari Mahtab, MP and one of many founding members of BJD, has resigned from the first membership of the celebration.
Bhartrihari Mahtab mentioned that BJD didn’t get an opportunity to work within the celebration. Mahtab, a six-time MP from Cuttack Lok Sabha constituency, mentioned, “I’ve despatched my resignation to BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at 4 pm at this time.”
What did Bhartrihari Mahtab say?
Bhartrihari Mahtab advised PTI that he resigned from the celebration as a result of he didn’t get sufficient alternative to work independently in BJD. Mahtab was awarded the 'Sansad Ratna' for 4 consecutive years from 2017 to 2020 for his excellent efficiency in Parliament.

In the meantime, there’s hypothesis in political circles that Bhartrihari might be a part of BJP in Mahatab. Such speculations are being made as a result of BJP has introduced that there will likely be no alliance with BJD.
