Sikkim Candidates List: Bharatiya Janata Social gathering (BJP) has released the second list of candidates for the Sikkim Assembly elections 2024 through which there are names of a complete of 9 candidates. BJP's Central Election Committee released the list of 9 candidates for the Sikkim Assembly elections on Tuesday (26 March), together with Bhim Kumar Sharma from Gyalshing-Baranyak constituency, Aruna Mangar from Namchi-Singhithan and Yogen Rai from Melli together with others. Leaders are concerned.
Whereas, Phurba Ringjing Sherpa from Tumin Lingi, Bhupal Bareilly from West Pendam, Penpo Tshering Lepcha from Shyari, Chiwang Dadul Bhutia from Martam Rumtek, Niren Bhandari from Higher Tadong and Pema Wanggyal Rinjing from Gangtok have been given tickets. Earlier on Sunday, BJP had released its first list of 14 candidates for the upcoming Sikkim Assembly elections.

BJP breaks alliance with SKM in Sikkim
In its first list, the saffron social gathering has included Narendra Kumar Subba from Manebung-Dentum, Sancho Lepcha from Rinchenpong, Sanchaman Limbu from Yangthang and Dilli Ram Thapa from Higher Bertuk amongst different candidates. In the meantime, the BJP on Saturday broke its alliance with the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM). It has been mentioned that the social gathering will contest the simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections within the state alone.
Lok Sabha and Assembly elections will probably be held concurrently in Sikkim
In accordance with the Election Fee, voting for Sikkim Assembly Elections 2024 will probably be held within the first section on April 19. North-eastern state Sikkim will elect 32 MLAs within the meeting elections. The tenure of the present authorities goes to finish on June 2. After this, counting of votes for 32 meeting seats will happen on June 2 and for the one Lok Sabha seat on June 4.
