Save Earth Mission Launches Global Campaign on World Environment Day to Combat Climate Change
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, June 5, 2023 — Save Earth Mission, a global community with more than 10 million members across 68 countries, is set to engage in various initiatives to mark World Environment Day on June 5, 2023. These activities aim to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the urgent need to address the growing climate crisis.
Urgent Call to Action for the Planet
Research has shown alarming trends in climate change, with 2023 projected to be one of the hottest years on record, according to the United Kingdom’s Met Office. India, in particular, has faced extreme weather conditions, with 2022 witnessing the hottest April in the last 122 years. A study revealed that India experienced extreme weather on 242 out of 272 days between January and October 2022. The rising temperatures are expected to cost India 2.8% of its GDP by 2050, as outdoor working capacity is projected to decrease by 15%.
These alarming figures highlight the critical need for action, and Save Earth Mission is spearheading a series of global initiatives to combat climate change.

During this event, important decisions will be made regarding climate action, and a global target for Save Earth Mission will be set to guide future initiatives. Sandeep Choudhary also emphasized the importance of adopting a plastic-free lifestyle and focusing on decarbonization to secure a greener future.
