NSDC and IDT Sign MoU to Enhance Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in Design and Technology
New Delhi (India), May 8 – National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Institute of Design and Technology (IDT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote skill development and entrepreneurship in the design and technology sectors. The MoU was signed today at the NSDC Corporate Office in Delhi by Ms. Ankita Goyal, Director of IDT, and Mr. Sanjiva Singh, Executive Vice President of CSR and Skill Development Financing at NSDC, with Ms. Honey Pamnani, Manager of CSR and Skill Development Financing, NSDC, as the witness.
This collaboration between educational institutions and industry aims to provide students with essential training to prepare them for employment and equip them with industry-relevant skills. By focusing on vocational training, the partnership will play a key role in closing the skill gap in India, developing a competent workforce, and strengthening the relationship between academia and the industry.

Under this partnership, IDT and NSDC will work together to identify the necessary skills across various sectors and ensure that applicants receive the required training. Students will benefit from practical exposure, better preparing them to enter the workforce and succeed in their respective industries.
Furthermore, the NSDC has partnered with several Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) to make skill courses accessible to candidates unable to afford the fees. This initiative will help make skilling opportunities available to all, regardless of their financial background, allowing them to pursue a career in their chosen profession.
IDT’s Role in Empowering Future Designers
As a leading design institute, IDT offers world-class fashion and interior education in collaboration with Pearson. This partnership ensures comprehensive development for students while meeting their regional needs. After completing two years of study at IDT, students have the opportunity to complete their third year at recognized institutions in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland.
In addition to this, IDT, in association with Silver Oak University, offers a three-year full-time degree programme for students interested in building a solid foundation in design, development, and technology.
