Rego B to Release Monthly Songs on YouTube & Social Media, Prepares for Bollywood Debut
New Delhi, India – May 4: Rego B, the 13-year-old global sensation, is making waves in the music world. Known as the youngest Indian artist to create an album of global chartbusters, Rego has released another song from his album titled “Talking to the Moon”, which was shot with a live band. The album consists of covers of legendary international songs and features hits from iconic artists like Justin Bieber, Freddie Mercury, Adele, Stevie Wonder, Charlie Puth, Bruno Mars, The Beatles, Bryan Adams, and more. Rego B, the youngest rock star of India, is set to take the country to the global stage.
Rego, who is also known for his uncanny resemblance to his late grandfather, Disco King Shri Bappi Lahiri, has introduced a unique concept in the Indian music scene—an entire album dedicated to covering the songs of global music icons. Rego credits his late grandfather for guiding him in his musical journey, saying, “I believe my grandfather is watching me and blessing me. Today, I’m doing good work in the music industry.”
Despite being just 13 years old, Rego B, also known as Swastik Bansal, has already stormed the Indian music scene. His single “Bachcha Party” crossed 5 million views, and he made appearances on prestigious shows like Bigg Boss with Salman Khan, Sa Re Ga Ma, Dance India Dance with Madhuri Dixit Nene, and Indian Idol, where he performed the iconic song “Disco Dancer” in tribute to his grandfather.
Born into a family of musicians, Rego began his music journey at just 2 years old, training with his mother and grandfather. He is currently studying music under RSL Rock Music London and receiving professional training from Yvie Burnett, coach to artists like Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran, along with Samantha, who has worked with other celebrated global singers.
In addition to his musical talent, Rego is an actor by passion and is fluent in seven languages: Italian, Spanish, English, Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, and rap. His cover of Despacito in Spanish is a testament to his versatile skills. Rego is also known for singing Bhajans, Slokas, Ganesh Vandans, and the Hanuman Chalisa.
Not only is Rego juggling his education with his music career, but he also continues to honor the musical legacy of his family. As the fourth generation of musicians in the Lahiri family, following in the footsteps of his great-grandparents Bansari Lahiri, his legendary grandfather Bappi Lahiri, and his parents, Rego is committed to carrying forward the musical torch.
Rego’s Bollywood debut is on the horizon, and his work is already receiving admiration worldwide. Despite his young age, Rego is poised for global domination in the music industry, just like his grandfather.
