The TwentyOne by SeventyTwo Summit: Over Rs. 15 Crore Fundraising and Global Exposure for Startups

Surat, Gujarat, June 22 – The TwentyOne by SeventyTwo Summit, organized by IVY Growth Associates and powered by Navitas Solar, has concluded with an overwhelming response. Held from June 16 to 18, this premier startup event facilitated approximately Rs. 15 crore in fundraising across multiple startups. With more than 16,000 attendees over three days, the summit established Surat and Gujarat on the global startup ecosystem map.

The summit hosted over 200+ startup founders, 500+ investors, and industry leaders, making it one of the largest startup events in India. Over 10,000 visitors attended on the final day alone. The event featured a diverse range of activities including networking, workshops, keynote speeches, and panel discussions on various startup-related topics. Key participants included notable figures like Aman Gupta, Founder of BoAT and Shark Tank fame, and Ghazal Alagh, Founder of MamaEarth.

The summit welcomed 50+ VCs, 15+ angel networks, and over 300 angel investors, providing a unique platform for startups to pitch their ideas. Experts like Sarthak Ahuja, Mentor at SeventyTwo, A. Velumani, Founder & Chairman of Thyrocare, and Arjun Vaidya, Ventures Lead at Verlinvest, shared valuable insights into the startup ecosystem.

Key Highlights of the Summit:

  • 25 startups pitched their business ideas, with 10 startups presenting on Saturday and the remaining on Sunday. Four of these startups hailed from Surat.
  • Trailblazer Mine, a key event feature, included live Shark Tank-style pitching sessions where startups could present their ideas to a panel of investors.
  • The summit also featured over 80 startup stalls showcasing products and services across various industries.

Success and Future Prospects

Prateek Tosniwal, Co-founder of IVY Growth Associates, shared that over 5,000 participants from 20+ states attended the first edition of the summit. Of the 13 partner startups, 15-17 generated investor interest and received term sheets. This year’s summit saw the participation of large VCs such as Artha Ventures, VCats, and Blume Ventures.

At the summit’s closing ceremony, Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan presented awards to 40 outstanding business personalities and entrepreneurs, celebrating their contributions to the startup ecosystem.
