Magadi Cricket Academy Triumphs in Inaugural CN Ravikiran Memorial U-13 Cricket Tournament
Bengaluru, Karnataka (India), June 15 – The inaugural CN Ravikiran Memorial Sports Carnival U-13 Cricket Tournament, organized by the East-West Center for Sporting Excellence powered by Da One Sports, concluded successfully on Sunday, May 14, with an overwhelming response from fans and participants alike. This prestigious annual event, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of the late Mr. C.N. Ravikiran, attracted 16 prominent local teams from Bengaluru.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Ranjith, Director of Placement at East West Group of Institutions, who unveiled the tournament’s prestigious cup. The event provided young cricketers the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and passion for the sport. The participating teams included:

The grand finale saw Magadi Cricket Academy defeat Kashish Cricket Academy by 3 wickets, claiming victory in the inaugural season. The award ceremony was graced by Vinay Kumar, Head Coach of Cricket, along with the management team of the East-West Center for Sporting Excellence.
Reflecting on the significance of the tournament, Tejas, Director of East West Institute of Technology, shared: “The CN Ravikiran Memorial Sports Carnival is more than just a cricket competition; it is a tribute to my father’s passion for sports and his vision for nurturing talent. This tournament is a beacon for young athletes to showcase their potential in his memory.”
Srisha Bhalle, Director of Da One Sports, also emphasized, “Over the course of 9 thrilling days, the CN Ravikiran Memorial Sports Carnival offered 192 budding cricket stars the platform to exhibit their talent, fostering unity and sportsmanship among the next generation of cricketers.”
The tournament was held at the East West Institute of Technology, located in Vishwanadeem, Bharath Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The East-West Center for Sporting Excellence, a state-of-the-art cricket academy, provided the perfect setting for the event and will continue to host this annual tournament in the years to come.
The academy, founded by renowned cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, is equipped with world-class facilities to train young cricketers across different age groups. It features six Astro-turf pitches, a basketball court, football turf, badminton courts, and a fully equipped gym. The academy ensures comprehensive training, including physiotherapy support, first-aid, and advanced video analysis tools for technical assessment.
In line with its commitment to nurturing future cricketing stars, the academy offers scholarships to outstanding young talents and organizes domestic and international tours for exposure to diverse cricketing conditions.
Da One Sports also launched the Grassroots Innovation Program, which focuses on children aged 3 to 8 years, promoting physical activity, coordination, and movement through fun-filled learning activities. This program is available at schools, day nurseries, and pre-schools, aiming to lay a strong foundation for the athletes of tomorrow.
