The Israeli military said it carried out a strike on Tuesday targeting what it claimed was a Hamas “command and control centre” beneath a hospital in Gaza.
According to Israeli officials, the European Hospital in Khan Younis was the second hospital struck in the city that day.
AP journalists reported seeing the bodies of six people killed in the strike being transferred to Nasser Hospital.
Earlier, Israel also struck Nasser Hospital, alleging, without providing specific evidence, that militants were operating from within. Two people were killed, including a journalist previously targeted in another strike.
