In an exclusive interaction with Asian News, Nikita Anand talks about being a global matchmaker and how marriages have changed drastically. Edited excerpts from the interview:

Asian News: Being in the business for more than seventeen years,  Wedding Tales Matrimony has come a long way as a global matchmaker. Please explain how the journey began.

Nikita Anand: I entered the realm of personal matchmaking in 2007, coming from the same professional role with quintessential matchmaking in India. With extensive industry experience and well-developed skills, I aim to give a personal touch to all my clients and give them maximum satisfaction. I have worked with business tycoons and elite families, giving them immense happiness. I am passionate about matchmaking and inclined to high-end matchmaking.

Asian News:  Wedding Tales Matrimony is a fresh start in modern marriages and matchmaking services. What’s the procedure for enrollment with  Wedding Tales Matrimony?

Nikita Anand: At  Wedding Tales Matrimony, conversations are essential to working right from the first introductory call; nothing substitutes the human element. So, all the members need to contact us through our website, after which the relationship experts get in touch to assess the compatibility.

Asian Times: It’s brave to think of global matchmaking that goes well beyond conventional methods. How would you feel about that, especially after successfully managing this empire for a decade and a half?

Nikita Anand: Marriage is an equal partnership between two people who jointly build a home that is theirs, supported by the four pillars of respect, love, friendship, and acceptance. The last ten years have undoubtedly seen societal change, including accepting women’s financial independence and late marriages. These are all constructive improvements, and we are proud and appreciative of our role in acting as mediators and doorways and for bringing together two truly aligned individuals.

Asian News: How would you describe your journey of building your brand from scratch?

Nikita Anand: Throughout my journey, I have come to acknowledge the natural process of growth and transformation. Regarding marriages, it is the mindset that has seen immense transition. The past decade has witnessed significant shifts and cultural changes within the matchmaking industry. Divorce rates have increased due to various factors; gender roles within marriage have become less defined, and individuals are becoming more open-minded. While we may undergo various changes, our fundamental values and beliefs remain steadfast, ingrained within our very essence. Wedding Tales Matrimony stands out from the crowd by prioritising equitable partnerships, aiming to find a life partner to share one’s journey with and a soulmate one cannot imagine living without.

Asian News: The matchmaking world has rapidly transformed in the past decade. Keeping up with the changes, how well have you incorporated them into your enterprise?

Nikita Anand: We have continuously questioned societal norms and conventions regarding parental expectations, gender equality, and traditional gender roles. We have also raised essential inquiries about why personal choices must be justified, why compromise is expected, why divorce remains stigmatized in many areas of the world, and various other matters that should not affect a partnership. Moving forward, I aspire to receive continued love and support from individuals and to have the opportunity to impact numerous lives positively. Therefore, I encourage individuals to marry for the right reasons and to establish their timelines.

Asian News- Where do you see yourself in 10 years as a matchmaking expert?

Nikita Anand:  Wedding Tales Matrimony has experienced significant growth, expanding from a team of two to a group of 20 individuals. Our team members are located worldwide. It’s important to note that we have achieved this growth without relying on external funding. Despite our achievements, we are only at the beginning stages of our journey and have miles to go.
