ePuja Websolution Pvt Ltd. amalgamates with Sagar Productions Ltd – Primex News Network

New Delhi (India), May 16 – ePuja Combines Faith and Technology with Strategic Amalgamation

ePuja Websolutions Pvt Ltd (EPWSPL), India’s first spiritech company that merges technology with spirituality, offering access to religious ceremonies and remedy rituals across over 3,600 temples in India, has announced its amalgamation with Sagar Productions Ltd (SPL).

Mr. Shiva Kumar, Founder and Executive Director of EPWSPL, shared his excitement about the development, saying, “This is a major milestone for our company. I fondly remember starting this journey, traveling extensively across India to partner with temples, enabling devotees to offer pujas from the comfort of their homes. The idea originated when my parents couldn’t travel due to health reasons, and I wanted to help them offer pujas at a temple they cherished. From our first domestic customer to facilitating over 50,000 pujas to date, we’ve overcome numerous challenges. Today, we are excited to enter the listed platform, which will offer us greater responsibilities and abundant opportunities for growth.”

Mr. Chetan Merchant, Co-founder and Managing Director of EPWSPL, commented, “India is incredibly diverse spiritually, and as a society, we often turn to spirituality in both good and bad times. This makes the spirituality sector resilient even in times of recession. While the spiritual market is debated to be worth between $40-60 billion, it remains highly fragmented with small, local players. EPWSPL was created to address this, and with technology having revolutionized industries like education and healthcare, it was only natural for us to bring technology into the spiritual space to offer convenience and reduce costs.”

Mr. Rikin Parekh, Co-founder and Managing Director of EPWSPL, noted, “Though the share of e-commerce in the spiritual space is under 6%, our insights suggest that the online spiritual market is poised for rapid growth. Over the next 5-7 years, the sector could grow at a 45% CAGR, compared to 25% for the broader spiritual market. This growth will be fueled by factors such as increasing smartphone access, rising stress levels, and the demand for convenience. During the pandemic, we saw a consistent rise in platform visits and orders, validating the growth potential of the sector.”

The decision to move onto a listed platform marks a pivotal point in EPWSPL’s growth journey, as it aims to become a dominant player in the spiritech space. Mr. Parekh added, “Being listed will allow us to attract top talent through ESOPs, access better capital for growth, and gain enhanced visibility and ratings. It will also hold us to higher standards of accountability and compliance.”

Over the past four years, EPWSPL has focused on building a robust content network, improving customer engagement, and refining fulfillment operations. Now, with a solid foundation in place, the company is prepared to scale its business aggressively.

“Technology is on the verge of transforming the spiritual landscape in India,” said Shiva Kumar. “We are determined to achieve our vision faster than we initially anticipated, and the future looks promising.”
