MIAMI, FL, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — On his forthcoming launch La Gran Diversión, famed, GRAMMY-nominated pianist Roberto Fonseca conjures up an exhilarating homage to the rollicking sounds of Cuba within the ‘30s that he describes as “essentially the most private file of my life. There are tales informed by music. The undertaking for which I wish to be recognized.”
Fonseca provides that his stylized fusion of time-honored Cuban rhythms laced at instances with R&B and funk “is a tribute to my roots and above all to conventional Cuban music because of the nice connection and acceptance of the general public from the ‘30s to the current, music that’s remembered from New York to Paris.”
Co-produced by Fonseca and Daniel Florestano, La Gran Diversión was recorded in Havana, Paris and New York, and it already has spawned two basic singles: Maní Mambo and Sal Al Malecón. Among the many standout visitor performers are guitarist, Jorge Luis Chicoy; violinist, Regina Carter; Buena Vista Social Membership vocalist, Carlos Calunga; and Dutch EMD singer, Clarence Bekker.
Lauded as “a charismatic sparkplug of a pianist from Cuba,” by the New York Instances, Fonseca has been on the forefront of Cuban music for over 20 years, releasing an in depth catalog of solo albums interspersed together with his participation within the Buena Vista Social Membership, his excursions with singer-songwriter Ibrahim Ferrer (1927-2005) and his work as musical director on the excursions of singer, Omara Portuondo.
His much-praised 2007 providing Zamazu proved him to be a really succesful performer and composer in his personal proper. The album yielded the music Llegó Cachaito, which appeared within the 2008 Will Smith film Hancock. His 2012 Grammy-nominated full size Yo featured Fatoumata Diawara, the Malian star with whom Fonseca later engaged in an acclaimed reside collaboration and took part on his album London Ko.
Fonseca is at present supporting La Gran Diversión together with his Roberto Fonseca on Tour, a European trek that’s scheduled to cease within the following cities:
