Beyond the spectacle, the aquarium used the event to raise awareness about sustainable fish consumption.
With fish demand traditionally rising during Holy Week, especially on Good Friday, AquaRio urged the public to avoid endangered species like the spotted sorubim and groupers. These fish, vital to ocean ecosystems, are protected under Brazilian law.
