Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 24 – The Sourrce, founded by Shikha Kapur, is set to collaborate with 14 new-age directors and storytellers for an exciting range of in-house stories. These stories are being co-developed by The Sourrce writers’ room alongside some of the most innovative voices in the film and television industry.
The lineup of directors includes those behind the spine-chilling horror of Tumbbad, the passionate romance of RX 100, the pan-India blockbuster Pushpa, the unsettling multilingual horror The Home Next Door, the gripping thriller Undekhi, the deep psychological drama of Human, the hilarious comedy of Badhaai Ho, and the adrenaline-pumping The Night Manager.
This diverse mix of filmmakers also includes debutants with global experience, such as those who have worked on Mission Impossible 4, creative visionaries from the founding team of TVF, and Indian directors making waves in Los Angeles. Together, they will bring The Sourrce to life.
The Sourrce – A Platform for Extraordinary Stories
The Sourrce is home to 12 talented writers from various backgrounds, all committed to sharing exceptional stories from India. These stories will span a wide range of genres, including Indian folklore, horror, sci-fi, action franchises, creative comedies, and engaging true stories.

The Impressive Talent Line-Up
- Ajay Bhupathi made a strong debut with the Telugu film RX 100.
- Ashish R. Shukla earned critical acclaim for directing the web series Undekhi (2020) and Sweet (2021).
- Avinash Das directed the Netflix series She.
- Hussain Sha Kiran is a talented writer-director known for his work on Meeku Meere Maaku Meme (M2M2) and his contribution to the blockbuster screenplay of Pushpa: The Rise.
Additional directors include Kushal Ved Bakshi, a debutant with extensive experience as an assistant and co-director over the last decade; Milind Rau, who directed Aval in Tamil and The Home Next Door in Hindi; and Mihir Lath, Shekhar Kapur’s protégé, who has worked on several high-profile films including Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol.
Other notable figures in the The Sourrce lineup include Mozez Singh, the writer-director of the successful thriller series Human for Disney Plus Hotstar; Prem Mistry, creator of Campus Diaries and former creative director at TVF; and Priyanka Ghose, one of the directors of the Indian adaptation of The Night Manager on DisneyPlus Hotstar.
Directors like Rahi Anil Barve, known for the unique 2018 film Tumbbad, and Shantanu Srivastava, writer of Badhaai Ho and The Night Manager, also contribute to the creative vision of The Sourrce. Finally, Virat Pal, an LA-based filmmaker, won the Jury Award for Scariest Short Film at the prestigious Overlook Film Festival with his latest film Night of the Bride.
