Ashwini, 28, from Seppings Road, Bharatinagar, said Santosh Kumar CP, Revati Manohar, Karthik and Vineetha had been visiting the temple for the past eight months and had introduced themselves as loan agents attached to nationalised banks.
They promised to arrange a subsidy for a loan from the SC/ST corporation and asked her to pay Rs 1.5 lakh as fee. “I borrowed money from my friends and pledged my gold to arrange the money. After getting the money ,they switched off their mobiles,” she said. tnn
