Supreme Court docket: Kerala government did not get relief from the Supreme Court docket, the matter of setting the borrowing limit was transferred to the Constitution Bench.


Supreme Court docket Information: Kerala government has not acquired relief from the Supreme Court docket in the debt case. The Supreme Court docket, whereas listening to the matter on Monday (April 1, 2024), rejected the Kerala government's software to direct the Central Government to calm down the borrowing limit restrictions. The Supreme Court docket refused to give orders on this regard to the Central Government and handed over the matter to the Constitution Bench.

Really, citing monetary constraints, Kerala had requested for a mortgage of Rs 26,000 crore from the Central Government. The Central Government had opposed this saying that the Kerala Government had already borrowed greater than the limit. The Kerala government had gone to the Supreme Court docket relating to this and sought relief.
