The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday prolonged the visa of foreigners stranded in India because of the Covid-19 pandemic until August 31, 2021.
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus there was non-availability of regular business flight operations since March 2020. Because of this a variety of international nationals who got here to India previous to March 2020 on legitimate Indian visas had bought stranded in India.

“Keeping in view the difficulties being confronted by such international nationals in getting their visas prolonged in India because of the lockdown, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) had issued an order on 29.06.2020 conveying that the Indian Visa or keep stipulation interval of such international nationals expiring put up 30.06.2020 shall be deemed to be legitimate till 30 extra days from the date of resumption of regular worldwide flight operations, on free of charge foundation,” MHA mentioned in a notification.
