MP High Court: In the course of the listening to of a rape case, the Madhya (*16*) High Court recommended the central authorities to scale back the age of juveniles from 18 to 16. The High Court stated this whereas giving aid to a 20-year-old boy who was imprisoned in the case of Poxo rape. The High Court stated, it’s unjust to place youngsters in jail who’ve consensual relations.
Within the MP High Court, Justice Deepak Kumar’s single bench stated, in 2012, resulting from rising the age of consensual intercourse from 16 to 18, the pure cloth of the society has been disturbed. He stated that it’s injustice to the boys arrested in such circumstances who’ve made consensual relations to be arrested. It’s simply due to his age that after coming in contact with the other gender, he’s having consensual bodily relations with them.
