FIITJEE Exposes Unethical Practices by Coaching Institutes Claiming False Success Stories of Students
New Delhi, India, May 11 – With the release of results for competitive exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced, several coaching centers often resort to questionable practices to claim credit for the success of top-performing students. This year, a disturbing trend has emerged where some institutes have gone so far as to falsely claim the achievements of students from other institutes, undermining the hard work and success of the real coaching providers.
A recent case involves Malay Kedia, who secured All India Rank 4 in JEE Main 2023. Allen Career Institute falsely claimed credit for Malay’s success, stating that he was a part of their Classroom Program. However, FIITJEE, a highly respected name in the field of education, presented strong evidence to prove that Malay was a student of FIITJEE, having joined their Four-Year Classroom Program in Class IX and later upgraded to their Pinnacle Two-Year Integrated Program in Class X. FIITJEE further presented attendance records from April 2019 to substantiate their claim, which showed that Malay was part of their program all along.
In a statement, Malay Kedia expressed his gratitude towards FIITJEE, saying, “I joined FIITJEE’s Pinnacle Two-Year Integrated School Program, which gave me ample time for self-study and allowed me to focus on astronomy alongside my JEE preparation. My teachers at FIITJEE laid a strong foundation in all subjects, which helped me achieve success in both JEE and Astronomy Olympiad exams.”
Bhaskar Kedia, Malay’s father, further confirmed his son’s association with FIITJEE, emphasizing the institute’s role in shaping Malay’s success. He stated, “FIITJEE knows how to transform talented students into successful ones. I trust them completely, and I recommend that other parents place their trust in FIITJEE as well.”
In another instance, Prakriti Prasad, a FIITJEE student who secured All India Rank 1174 in JEE Mains 2023, also found herself caught in similar claims made by Allen Career Institute. Both Prakriti and her father, Priyanshu Prasad, strongly refuted Allen’s claims. Priyanshu stated, “Prakriti has been a part of FIITJEE since Class 8 and has attended the Classroom Program at FIITJEE Dwarka. It is shocking to see such false claims being made about her.”
Manish Anand, COO of FIITJEE, condemned the unethical practices of other institutes claiming the success of their students without any factual basis. He highlighted the importance of transparency and ethical practices in the education sector. Anand reiterated that both Malay Kedia and Prakriti Prasad were FIITJEE students, and taking credit for their achievements by other institutes is not only unethical but also amounts to serious poaching malpractice.
FIITJEE, known for its honest, transparent, and ethical practices, has expressed its intention to take legal action against institutes indulging in these practices. The institute has made it clear that it will not tolerate such deceitful methods in the industry and remains committed to providing quality education to students through dedicated, responsible practices.
This incident highlights the increasing need to address the marketing gimmicks used by some coaching centers that damage the integrity of the educational sector. The fierce competition in coaching for competitive exams like JEE is pushing some institutes to cross ethical boundaries. It is crucial that these malpractices are stopped to ensure that students and their hard work are respected and acknowledged.
