Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 24, 2025: With over two billion rides completed globally, inDrive, the international ride-hailing platform, is disrupting the ride-sharing industry in Mumbai by introducing a new approach that allows passengers and drivers to negotiate fair fares directly. The company has launched a new campaign encouraging users to ‘Ride for a Fair Price You Both Agree On.’
Revolutionizing the Ride-Hailing Experience
This campaign highlights the contrast between the indifference of ride-hailing algorithms and the empathy and communication that inDrive fosters between passengers and drivers, enabling them to negotiate and settle on fares that feel fair to both parties.
Driver of the Month: A New Campaign in Mumbai
As part of its ongoing efforts to engage drivers and provide incentives, inDrive has also launched the “Driver of the Month” campaign in Mumbai. During the campaign, the cab drivers who provide the most rides via inDrive will be rewarded with attractive prizes. There is a mega prize (a motorcycle) for the top performer and 10 runners-up will receive smartphones. To participate, drivers must register, meet eligibility requirements, and complete the maximum number of rides during the campaign period.
Sergei Kondrutski, Regional Driver Acquisition Team Leader for South Asia, inDrive, commented, “Creating fairer solutions to address gaps in underserved markets is a key part of inDrive’s global expansion strategy. While we offer ride-hailing services across different vehicle categories in India, in Mumbai, we currently operate only in the cab and auto-rickshaw categories, giving both drivers and passengers access to more fairly priced ride-hailing options. We are excited to launch the Driver of the Month campaign in Mumbai as part of our commitment to engaging with drivers and rewarding their efforts.”
inDrive’s Global Growth and Presence
Today, inDrive is the second most downloaded mobility app worldwide, with over 175 million active users in 614 cities across 47 countries on five continents. The platform continues to grow rapidly, with a significant user base in Mumbai.
Pavit Nanda Anand, South Asia PR Manager for inDrive, shared, “The number of active users in Mumbai is growing rapidly. We already have thousands of registered drivers in the city, and all our drivers are highly experienced, having completed the full document-verification process. We’ve also recently recognized our most active drivers and passengers in Mumbai, thanking them for their role in our expanding community.”
