Ravindra Mahajan Death: Marathi actor and director Ravindra Mahajani, father of ‘Imli’ fame Gashmir Mahajani, passed away. His body was found on Friday, 14 July, in an apartment in Pune. Police said that he lived alone in an apartment in Talegaon Dabhade, Pune. He was living on rent in the Xarbia Society here for the last 8 months. Neighbors had contacted the police at 4.30 pm on Friday after a foul smell emanated from the apartment. Soon, a team from Talegaon MIDC police station reached the spot and found the apartment locked from inside. In the presence of local residents, the police broke open the door and entered the house. Where the dead body of Ravindra Mahajani was found. Police said that the owner of the apartment has identified the dead body as Ravindra Mahajani, father of actor Gashmir Mahajani. Police suspect that the actor had passed away two to three days back. When the smell came, then we could know. The police informed the actor’s family and sent his body to the hospital for postmortem to confirm the cause of death. Ravindra Mahajani gained popularity with films like ‘Mumbaicha Faujdar’ (1984) and ‘Kalat Nakalat’ (1990). In the 1970s, he earned a lot of name in the Marathi industry.
