CLEAR Water ties up with Recycle.Green on its 18th anniversary to become a Zero Waste Brand – Primex News Network

CLEAR Partners with Recycle.Green to Become Plastic-Negative by 2027

Surat (Gujarat), May 12: CLEAR, one of India’s rapidly growing bottled water brands, has taken a significant step in its sustainability journey by collaborating with Recycle.Green to achieve its goal of becoming a Zero Waste Brand. As part of this partnership, CLEAR aims to reduce plastic consumption by 1,800 to 2,000 tonnes annually and become plastic-negative by 2027.

CLEAR, which recently celebrated its 18th anniversary on May 7, is committed to reducing its environmental footprint through efficient recycling. By partnering with Recycle.Green, CLEAR plans to not only recycle the same amount of plastic waste it generates but also double it, thereby contributing to significant plastic waste reduction.

Under the agreement, Recycle.Green will assist CLEAR in organizing a nationwide initiative that includes collaboration with its channel partners and integrating the recycling framework into its operations. This initiative will help CLEAR meet its ambitious plastic waste management goals.

Mr. Nayan Shah, Founder & CEO of CLEAR Premium Water, expressed, “As we continue our journey to make CLEAR, India’s Clear Choice, we are acutely aware of the growing challenges related to plastic waste and the urgent need for sustainable plastic waste management. This partnership with Recycle.Green is a major step toward realizing our vision of a CLEAR DUNIYA and furthering our ESG goals. By focusing on plastic recovery and recycling, we are actively contributing to a cleaner, greener future.”

As part of the partnership, CLEAR has created a comprehensive framework to collect and recycle plastic waste generated at its plants, including used bottles. The company is actively educating and training its employees, distributors, and sellers about the Zero Waste mission. Additionally, CLEAR is offering rewards and incentives for plastic recovery and recycling efforts and providing discounts to customers using the Recycle.Green app to promote a zero-waste culture.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, CLEAR’s manufacturing unit in Surat is a zero-discharge, green facility that uses 35% less plastic than traditional bottles. This same technology will be implemented across all of CLEAR’s plants nationwide, further reducing plastic consumption by 1,800-2,000 tonnes per year.

Mr. Shah further stated, “CLEAR’s initiatives extend beyond plastic waste reduction. We are also committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2030 through various measures, such as tree plantation, the use of recycled paper and furniture, electric vehicles for logistics, renewable energy sources for manufacturing, and plant-based packaging materials. These actions will help us reduce plastic pollution and support our plastic-negative goals.”

CLEAR’s journey toward sustainability starts with a “CLEAR thought,” leading to “CLEAR actions” and culminating in “CLEAR deeds,” all aimed at creating a positive environmental impact.
