Michelle Li (She/Her) is an award-winning journalist who co-launched the Very Asian Basis with fellow journalist Gia Vang. Her response to a racist voicemail grew to become a worldwide motion. The Very Asian Basis launched a nationwide consciousness youth literature marketing campaign referred to as The Might Ebook Challenge, and began the Very Asian Creators microgrant program.
A Korean adoptee, Michelle helps adoptees by heritage camps and volunteer excursions to Korea. Her program supporting Missouri kids in foster care led to a congressional award in 2010. Michelle has gained a nationwide Peabody Award, 4 nationwide Murrows, and a number of regional Emmys. Her work on the Asian American expertise in St. Louis through the pandemic was named a duPont finalist in 2023. Michelle has appeared on CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, and The Washington Put up. Stephanie KyeongSeon Drenka (She/Her) is a co-founder and Government Director of the Dallas Asian American Historic Society and Founding Editor of VISIBLE Journal. She beforehand served as Communications Director for Dallas Fact, Racial Therapeutic & Transformation, half of a nationwide 14-place initiative by The W.Okay. Kellogg Basis.
Stephanie was adopted from South Korea on the age of three months and is a dedicated advocate for adoptee voices. She acquired her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from DePaul College, with minors in Asian American Research and Girls’s Research. Her pictures and writing have been featured in Washington Put up, HuffPost, USA At present, Newsweek, and extra. Stephanie was a 2019-21 Public Voices Fellow and is now a Facilitator/Coach with The OpEd Challenge.
NAAAP Delight
Michael Liu (He/Him) Because the Public Affairs Supervisor for Dow Alberta Operations, Michael’s mission is to harness the facility of phrases, pictures, and tales to construct inclusive communities. He’s a steering group member of Dow’s Asian Variety Community and an lively participant in within the GLAD worker useful resource group.
